Albeit later than what we’re accustomed to, the Xiaomi Mi 7 appears to be getting closer as more leaks pop up every other day. This time around we have a look at what’s very likely to be a screen protector for the upcoming Xiaomi flagship.
The image above seems to confirm what we’ve been reporting for a couple months now – the Mi 7 will have a top notch. So, you can pretty much give up all hopes of seeing something like a smaller Mi MIX 2S design or super slim top and bottom bezels – Xiaomi Mi 6 / Samsung S9 style.
While this is a design choice many people won’t digest, it’s really hard to blame Xiaomi for following a trend almost every single phone maker has jumped on. Additionally, by looking at the images, we might have something good in return, we’re talking about a 3D face recognition system iPhone X-style or a secondary camera at the front.

Xiaomi also managed to slim down the bottom bezel in comparison to the competition, so we have to give them some credit for that as well.
Finally, the absence of a fingerprint scanner in the chin below the display, might also confirm we’ll be getting an under-display fingerprint scanner. Now, wouldn’t that be exciting? Let us know what you think in the comments section below!

No Xiaomi…whyyy….
They all must follow Apple’s design. If they don’t, then they will ban them from using Qualqcom, Android and Google’s services. Like they did with ZTE when they refused to follow their instructions.
You do know that the notch actually came from an Android phone 1st right? The Sharp Aquos S2 and the Essential ph1 had it 1st and the display maker for Iphone X, Samsung was actually the one who had it patented.
and Huawei was banned due to their links to the Chinese government (China), whether it’s paranoia or not. It’s not because of a design. ZTE was banned because they secretly sell their tech to the Iranian government when a sanctions was in place.
Android is open source, you can’t actually ban anyone from using it.
