Amazon India partners OPPO to launch Realme 1 smartphone on May 15

Realme 1

Amazon India has today announced its new Realme sub-brand in a close tie with OPPO as expected,  following a similar partnership by the Taiwanese PC hardware and smartphone brand ASUS in a close tie with Flipkart when it announced the Flipkart exclusive and India-centric ZenFone Max Pro M1.

The new OPPO Realme sub-brand is targeted at the Flipkart and OPPO latest collaboration and will offer smartphones with great technology, design, and service. The first smartphone dubbed Realme 1 will be unveiled on May 15th exclusively on Amazon India. There are currently no details of what the Realme 1 might bring to the table, but there are indications it might come as a watered-down variant of the recently unveiled OPPO A3 with its fancy triangular design under the glass back that confers on it a give it a diamond-like look when viewed from all angles.

Gizchina News of the week

Oppo and Amazon is teasing the Realme 1 as a phone made for the youth, a strong indication that the device might focus more on the design than the specs aspect, we expect more teasers in the days leading to the unveiling, otherwise we would have to hold our breath until it is May 15 when the Realme 1 detailed specs, as well as pricing, will be disclosed.
