Samsung galaxy A6

A whole lot has been reported about Samsung’s Galaxy A6 and Galaxy A6+ over the past few months. The mid-range smartphones which had their pricing leaked a few days back has now been officially announced and are due to hit the market later this month starting with selected Asian, European and South America markets first, then followed by South Korea, Africa, and China. No Pricing has been announced, but we expect same to be lower than the pricing of the upper mid-range Galaxy A8 series.

Going straight down to the basis, both the Galaxy A6 and Galaxy A6+ are two similar devices equipped with the Always On Super AMOLED Infinity displays with 18.5:9 screen ratio and a pretty good camera setup with big apertures, but the Plus sized variant sets itself apart with bigger memory capacity(depending on location), a bigger display, more battery juice and a dual rear camera setup along with a mega 24MP front camera.

With its sleek smooth curves and metal design that has been engineered to offer improved durability and comfortable grip for maximum usability, the Galaxy A6 flaunts a 5.6-inch HD+ screen while it stretches further to a 6-inch FHD+ screen on the Galaxy A6+. Both devices run on Android 8.0 out of the box.

Both phones have the same amount of RAM and storage sizes – 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage and are both expandable up to 256GB with microSD.

While the Galaxy A6 features a single 16-megapixel rear camera with f/1.7 aperture on either side,  the plus-sized variant boasts of a 24-megapixel front camera with a dedicated LED flash while also adding a secondary 5-megapixel rear camera with Live Focus mode that lets you control the depth of field and bokeh effect before or even after the shot is taken.

Rounding out the specs, the Galaxy A6, and A6+ feature 3000mAh and 3500mAh battery respectively. Both devices support Face Recognition, fingerprint scanner, NFC, Samsung Pay, Bixby Vision, Home and Reminder, as well as Apps pair to pair two apps.
