Alleged iPhone SE2 Makes an Appearance

Images of a phone alleged to be the iPhone SE2 have made an appearance online. The SE2 has been creating ripples for quite a while now even though its existence itself is not yet known. The leaked image shows an uncanny resemblance to the iPhone X, albeit with a significant change in the overall design of the mid-frame.

The alleged SE2 features a notch on the top of the screen and a display that seems to look exactly like the iPhone X on first look. But it’s the side profile that says otherwise. The body seems to have a boxy frame as opposed to the iPhone X’s curvy body. The mid-frame is reminiscent of the iPhone SE’s. The body also seems suited for easy, one-handed usage, something the SE was made for. Having said that, this leak does make a strong case for the iPhone SE2.

Gizchina News of the week

There’s a lot of speculation surrounding the SE2. Last week, case renders were reported that showed a single camera setup on the back, notch up front, boxy frame and no headphone jack. Before that CAD renders of the iPhone SE2 appeared which made it look like an iPhone 5S with a notched display on top. Apple has been tight-lipped about the SE2, but judging from the leaks and rumors, there is a high possibility that the SE2 is in the works. Apple’s iPhone X saw 99% customer satisfaction and became the most-selling smartphone with 16 million shipped units. So it seems like FaceID and the notch are working out, giving us another reason to believe that Apple will continue with the notched design for a while at least. Nothing can be said for sure since Apple is known to change the trend every year, be it design or usability. A clear proof is the presence of notched smartphones all over the market.
