Japanese multinational electronics corporation- Panasonic has just unveiled a new entry-level Android smartphone in India. Dubbed the Panasonic P95, the new entrant is positioned to compete fiercely with similarly priced phones from Xiaomi and other OEMs in India. The device which features the face unlock is been touted as a camera-centric phone.
Aside from the face and voice recognition features, the Panasonic P95 highlights ‘zero shutter lag’, meaning the camera captures images with any delay. It also comes with Professional mode that controls exposure and a red-eye reduction, while there is also the Auto-Scene Detection mode that automatically allows the camera to adjust to suit any environment.

Oddly powered by the Android 7.1.2 Nougat, the Panasonic P95 flaunts a 5-inch HD (720×1280) display and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 210 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, expandable up to 128GB using MicroSD card.
The dual SIM enabled Panasonic P95 uses an 8-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash and AF, while a 5MP front camera with face unlock sits above the display. The device is backed by a 2300mAh battery, and should come with 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, and FM.
The Panasonic P95 is available in in Blue, Gold, and Dark Grey color options, and is priced at INR4,999 (around $75 or €62) or at a discounted price of of Rs. 3999 at the Flipkart Big Shopping Day Sale starting from May 13 to May 16.
