Android P Beta will be available for the OnePlus 6

It’s not even out yet, but the OnePlus 6 is already on track for fast and timely updates.

OnePlus hasfor the soon to launch OnePlus 6. The device will launch on the 16th of May, at which point the beta will be available for download. This is a pretty great bit if news to hear, though it’s not too surprising. There are plenty of devices that already have the update, even ones from Xiaomi and Vivo. Doesn’t mean we’re unhappy though, we’e ecstatic to see companies push updates so quickly.

According to OnePlus CEO Pete Lau, OnePlus customers want “a fast, smooth, and clean user experience”, and we can’t argue with that. He also states that OnePlus wants to “ensure the smartphone experience is not dominated by bloatware and intrusive notifications”, which we also agree with. Nothing is worse on a smartphone than bloatware that you can’t get rid of.
