As most of the long-time readers will know, Chinese phone maker Elephone doesn’t only produce smartphones but also have their hands in smart bands, action cameras and more. The company has now revealed that they’re going to launch the 5th generation of their smart bands, unsurprisingly called Elephone Band 5.
The Elephone Band 5 is expected to come with all the basic features you expect from a fitness band. It’ll have 24hr heart rate monitoring, as well as track steps, sleep and sports.

Being an health monitor, the band is configurable to notify you when your heart rate changes due to exercising, so, if for example, your heart rate goes over a set limit, it will start vibrating.
Other functions will include calories counting, “shake to take photos”, message notifications and more. The built-in battery is also said to last for at least 10 days, which is quite a good autonomy for this kind of products.
The Elephone Band 5 is expected to launch in mid-May, so pretty much any day now, at the starting price of $9.99.
