Samsung Galaxy A Star gets Bluetooth SIG certification

The Bluetooth SIG has certified a new Samsung smartphone dubbed as Galaxy A Star. The smartphone is expected to arrive alongside the “lite” variant of the Galaxy S8 and carries Bluetooth 5.0 on board. Previous rumors were indicating that this smartphone could be called Galaxy A8 Star, but according to this new document, it will be simply known as Galaxy A Star.

The certification document itself doesn’t reveal much about the A Star certifications. Anyway, previous rumors and leaks pointed out that this handset would arrive with a 6.28-inch FHD+ Infinite Display, dual rear cameras with 16MP and 24MP resolution and the Exynos 7885 or Snapdragon 660 running the show. For multi-tasking purposes that smartphone will sport 4GB or 6GB of RAM, with 64GB of Storage and a 3,700mAh completing the package of specifications.

Gizchina News of the week

Judging by the fact that a Bluetooth Certification is one of the last steps before a device gets released, we should consider the Galaxy A Star as an imminent launch. The Galaxy A Star should have some certification processes to go before a release, but it may be sooner than expected. Worth noting, that the Galaxy A Star was rumored as a China-exclusive release, but the Bluetooth certification reveals that an International Model is also coming. We will keep an eye on the news about this new Samsung mid-range that should arrive early in June.
