The competition in the smartphone manufacturing industry is becoming more intense by the day. Smartphone enthusiasts desire innovation and manufacturers are completely stretched to satisfy their customers. One way of convincing smartphone users is through constant major and regular update. Many smartphone manufacturers are now updating their relevant devices to Android’s latest system – Android Oreo. Now, it is the turn of Huawei Mate SE.
Gizchina News of the week
The Huawei Mate SE which comes with Android Nougat out of the box has now been updated to Android Oreo. This makes this smartphone more relevant as it will benefit from all the fluid features that come with Android Oreo and possibly more. Huawei may have added more depth customization in this update because it weighs a whopping 2.4GB which is way larger than most Oreo updates which are about 1.5GB.
This update comes with Huawei’s customized EMUI 8.0 as well as other features such as a recycle bin, new security patch, AI-based optimizations, new floating navigation dock and more. As is common with OTA updates, this update will not arrive all units at the same time. Thus you will have to be patient to get the OTA alert or you can frequently check Settings > System Update.
