Chinese manufacturing giant, Xiaomi, has released a couple of decent smartphones with acceptable cameras. The release of flagship Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S in March this year further shows that the company can achieve a lot in the smartphone camera department. Now, an internal mass e-mail sent by Xiaomi’s CEO, Lei Jun, has been leaked online. The general idea of this mail is quite clear. From the mail, Lei Jun stated that it is necessary to set up a camera department in Xiaomi and use Xiaomi’s resources to take pictures.

According to Lei Jun’s statement in the email, after Xiaomi established the camera department, it must continue to accumulate technology and must take the image quality of Xiaomi’s smartphones to one of the best in the world. Lei Jun is also very confident that the company will achieve its goal.
Like Xiaomi, Huawei’s smartphones currently captures high-quality images. This is also true for other Chinese mobile phone manufacturers. However, if Xiaomi puts enough effort, it might just surpass its rivals in that department.
