Today, in the Bird’s Nest, as scheduled, Hammer Technology unleashed its revolutionary smartphone dubbed as the Smartisan R1, where R stands for Revolution. However, Hamming Technology CEO Luo Yonghao revealed that in the future all their phones will carry the name of Nut regardless of the category of the phone.
It adopts a special full-screen, the screen ratio of which reaches 84%, the aspect ratio is 18.7:9, and the contrast ratio is 1500:1. The front camera is placed in the upper center part like the Sharp Aquos series models. The In-Cell screen comes with a size of 6.17 inches and provides a resolution of 2242×1080 pixels.
On the back, it uses a 3D curved glass, while the middle frame is made of aerospace-grade 7 aluminum. Though the Smartisan Nut 3 comes with a front-mounted fingerprint scanner, the Smartisan R1 returned to the old approach that combines the Hammer logo and the fingerprint reader. The device comes with dimensions of 153.3 × 74.5 × 7.9mm and a weight of 170 grams. There are two color options – carbon black with a red line on the middle and pure white. The latter is promoted as ‘the best white phone in the world.’
The Smartisan R1 is a top-notch smartphone packed with the latest hardware. That’s not difficult to guess the phone is equipped with a Snapdragon 845 chip. This SoC is based on an advanced 10nm LPP process node and uses Kryo 385 architecture and octa-core design. The CPU clock speed reaches 2.8GHz. Thanks to them and the Adreno 630 GPU the AnTuTu score reaches up to 275,866.
