We’ve officially got confirmation today that the next HTC flagship will the HTC U12+. Although we have to admit it might not have been an intentional confirmation. The HTC U12+ was spotted on the official website even though it didn’t remain there for long. However, that small window was good enough for an entire spec-sheet leak.
As per the listing, the handset will have a 6-inch WQHD+ resolution display. That translates to 1440 x 2880 pixels all without a notch, thankfully. The Snapdragon 845 inside is no surprise as is the recorded 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Although it is possible HTC might launch 4GB RAM variants too. The battery was reported as 3,500mAh capacity.

But if this didn’t surprise you, you’ll be happy with the extras. The HTC U12+ is likely to come with water-diving powers as well as Boomsound speakers and micro SD card slot upto 2TB.
A rather unsettling revelation is the price. Considering where HTC is sitting right now, the listing’s $920 price tag is not a very good thing. If you’re Samsung or Apple, you can afford to do that. However, this Chinese pricing is a bit too much.
All this is supposing HTC does go through with this price tag and if it doesn’t we’d be happy to see a lower price tag. No launch dates of the smartphone are currently known. However, it could launch on May 23. Don’t take our word on it though.
