Earlier today we showed you an image of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 8 allegedly sporting a translucent back cover. Well, now that leak has been made somewhat more legit by a video that has recently surfed the web. If you can’t wait to see what it looks like, then check out the video below!
In the video we can lay our eyes on what’s most likely a Xiaomi Mi 8 with a sexy translucent back cover. Through the back cover we can even see the Qualcomm Snapdragon logo, showing us where the CPU will be located.
Another neat detail we learn in the video is the red power button on the right side, which is an additional stylish touch to the already sleek look of the phone.
Gizchina News of the week
Design aside, the Xiaomi Mi 8 is expected to pack quite the hardware. Going from the beastly Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset coupled with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM, to an under-display fingerprint scanner and 3D face scanning technology (iPhone X-like).
The Xiaomi Mi 8 is – according to most rumors – launching on May 31, along with the new and improved MIUI 10, and possibly a specc’ed down Xiaomi Mi 7.
No fingerprint sensor… Is it finally time for the under-the-glass one?
Yes, all the leaks are suggesting that! 🙂
Translucent Back??? Weird
but never seen before.
well done Mi 🙂
Woao, that’s cool. Totally useless but really cool. Better than all those sad “metal bodies”.. I don’t know you ever decided that metal backs were to be high end… It’s ugly, cold, slippery, bocks radio transmissions, which is sad on phones, and get trashed, scratched and compressed in case of drop. Stupid. I can’t wait to see high quality plastic coming back.
