Here’s a Look at The Xiaomi Mi 8

The Xiaomi Mi 8 is all set to be unveiled tomorrow along with a bunch of other products. The most recent leak shows the alleged flagship in a couple of shoddy photos, confirming some previous allegations and rumours.

The display up front has a notch that we already know will be a part of the Mi 8. The dual camera setup sits on the back and so does the fingerprint scanner. What’s intriguing is the bump in the case on the left side of the phone. It looks like a bump for a physical button. The purpose of this button is not known. None of the previous reports speak of any such button. It might be present to either act as a dedicated AI assistant or a customizable shortcut button. There is a chance that this might be the dedicated camera button although the placement seems a bit off.

Gizchina News of the week

Xiaomi is all set to unveil the Mi 8, Mi 8 SE, MIUI 10, and many other products tomorrow at an event in Shenzhen, China. Earlier today, teasers of the Mi 8 boasting its GPS capabilities appeared on YouTube. The Xiaomi Mi 8 is expected to sport a dual chip GPS, structured lighting for face unlock to rival that of the iPhone X and an in-display fingerprint scanner. Whether all these reports are true, we’ll find out tomorrow. Stay tuned!

This new trend of having notch is disgusting. I think the mi mix design is way better even if it has camera on the bottom.

That screen protector with air bubbles, light reflection and thick case make it look really ugly.

So they pioneered the full screen design with the Mi Mix, but still after so many years of copying the bitten fruit, yet again they decide to copy and not just something, but imo the ugliest possible design for a front panel of a smartphone. Especially comparing it to the beautiful Mi Mix.
