Motorola One Power Coming Soon?

Motorola has been slow in adapting to the changing trend in the market. But a render that folks at Android Headlines got their hands on showcases the Motorola One Power, Moto’s first smartphone with a notch. Motorola’s smartphones have recently forayed into the bezel-less stream that runs through the market. The Moto G6 series is one example and the upcoming Z3 Play is another.

The render leaves little to the imagination as far as the design is concerned. The display up front barely has any bezels on the sides while a wide notch sits up top. If we are to guess, it is about the same size as the iPhone X’s if not bigger. The chin houses the Motorola logo and is significantly thinner as compared to Moto’s recent apparently bezel-less phones.

The back is where things get interesting and throw more light on some more features other than the design. The back seems to be made of metal, judging from the antenna lines on the top and bottom. A vertically aligned dual camera setup sits on the top left corner. The fingerprint scanner seems to be a part of the Moto logo on the back. There’s Android One branding which makes this a possible successor to the Moto X4. Another notable detail is the absence of Moto Mods pogo pins, meaning there would not be support for Moto Mods. This puts the phone between the G and the Z series, giving us another reason to believe that the Motorola One Power is a successor to the X4.

Moto seems to have skipped the headphone jack on this one as the bottom houses only the charging port and two grills. But it is possible that the 3.5mm jack will be on top of the phone. Motorola is holding an event on June 6 in Brazil and we expect the Moto Z3 Play along with Moto Mods to be unveiled. The appearance of this render suggests more than one phone getting unveiled on the day.
