This Week on GizChina
Xiaomi
Xiaomi appears to be a company that is never resting, indeed after launching the Xiaomi Mi 8 lineup last week, they are now back in the news with a plethora of new gadgets; including a smart wind fan, a new backpack, Sneakers 2nd gen and a gaming mouse, among other things. Xiaomi is also expected to launch the entry-level Redmi 6 on June 12th.
Huawei
Huawei isn’t much behind Xiaomi as far as activeness goes. The phone maker did indeed just release the new Honor Play coming with the much rumored “scary tech”, which is basically a turbo mode for GPU related tasks. You can learn more about GPU Turbo over here (for graphics performance data) or this article for further details.
VIVO
In a couple days we’ll finally see the much awaited VIVO Nex. As some of you may know, the smartphone will be available in three versions for different price ranges. Here you can check out the first real hands on video!
Nokia
Gizchina News of the week
Great news coming from Nokia as well. The revamped company is indeed on fire and releasing lots of interesting phones in the past weeks. The next best seller is probably going to be the Nokia 5.1 which is set to launch very soon.
Lenovo
The Lenovo Z5 was finally launched this past week and, boy it was a disappointing discovery. One of the most hyped devices ever did end-up being just a very good mid-ranger, far away from the flagship with killing features we had been promised during the pre-launch marketing campaign. Either way, the Z5 is still worth a look if you’re searching for a Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 alternative.
Along with the Lenovo Z5, the Chinese company also released the K5 Note, A5 and the Watch X.
