A fresh rumor surrounding the alleged LG G8 Thinq has surfaced. Twitter user @UniverseIce claimed that the G7 Thinq successor will sport a 4K LCD display. Looks like the G8 Thinq will carry forward the use of LCD for display along with the horrible naming convention.
Rumors LG G8 Will Adopt 4K Resolution LCD Screen

Gizchina News of the week
There are hardly any phones on the market that boast of a 4K display. One of them being the Sony Xperia XZ Premium. Now the use of 4K screen on a phone seems to be a complete waste since the size of the display is too small. A good strategy would be to use a lesser resolution but an AMOLED display leading to better battery life and display quality at the cost of lower value of the highest brightness that can be achieved.
In other rumors the LG G8 Thinq will probably sport the Snapdragon 855 although nothing can be confirmed as of yet. LG is speculated to be focusing on VR content which the company hasn’t really delved into. While a higher resolution will aid in viewing content on the phone, it will still be overkill. The G8 Thinq will surely boast the latest of specs, considering its status as the next LG flagship. If there’s something LG could change, it’s their naming convention.
