If you’re thinking Apple will simply be iterating upon the iPhone X this year, and will just sharpen things up a little, then you might be in for a surprise. A new report from Gordon Kelly, the trusted source for all things Apple revealed schematics of the big iPhone X today along with the smaller LCD 6.1-inch iPhone.
Kelly seems sure that Apple will reveal a triple camera phone in the shape of the 6.5-inch iPhone X Plus. The other two iPhones will retain dual cameras. The schematics clearly displays three sensors in the small cutout of the camera at the back. It was also suspected that the third sensor could be a Flash but Kelly has denied this possibility saying that it is simply not portrayed in the schematics. Its place is outside the camera cutout. The setup should be similar to Huawei’s P20 Pro. A primary sensor with a monochrome and telephoto lens is what Apple hopes will give it the edge over the Pixel 2 XL, especially in low-light photography.

As for the 6.1-inch iPhone, it would be a best seller, as per the report. Besides revealing dimensions – 147.12 x 71.52 mm (5.79 x 2.81-inches), Kelly said that the handset will come with a single camera, and also lose 3D touch. This is a sacrifice that must be made to slash priced by around $300. over the regular iPhone X.
Interestingly, the CAD renders of the same 6.5-inch iPhone leaked a few days back and there was no triple camera in sight. For now, it looks like two of the most renowned tipsters are now divided on this particular feature of the 6.5-inch iPhone X Plus
Reports state that this could very well be the final design we’re looking at since mass production will start soon and room for only minor tweaks shall remain.
We’re definitely excited for this year’s iPhone line up that should launch sometime in September, are you?
Actually, this is very unlikely and more plausible to actually be a dual cam set up with the third being for the flash. As stated on other sites.
