After a previous leak that detailed the specs of the Sony Xperia XZ3, another leak has made an appearance as a batch of hands-on images. It has hardly been a month since the Xperia XZ2 saw the light of day and leaks surrounding the XZ3 have started making the rounds already.
The images are proof that the Xperia XZ3 will sport dual cameras as opposed to the single-camera its predecessor sports. The fingerprint scanner sits right below the dual camera setup on the back. The LED flash and other dedicated sensors sit above the camera lens. The design seems fairly similar to the XZ2, curvy and glossy. From what can be made, the front does not seem to sport an 18:9 display. The bezel up top is fat enough to not allow a display with the trendy ratio.
Gizchina News of the week
As far as the specs are concerned, a leak earlier this week detailed all the specs of the upcoming smartphone. It does not deviate hugely from its predecessor, but there are a few notable changes. The major change is the inclusion of dual cameras on the back. A 19MP f/1.8 RGB sensor sits coupled with a 12MP f/1.6 monochrome unit. The front sports a 13MP f/2.0 unit. The RAM gets an upgrade from 4GB to 6GB, but the processor is still the Snapdragon 845. Memory variants might include 64GB and 128GB units expandable up to 400GB via microSD. It’ll sport a 3240mAh battery and Android 8.1 Oreo. The display will be a 5.7-inch unit with a 2160 x 1080p resolution.
Dimensionally the phone will measure 153 x 72 x 10.1mm and weigh 183g. It will have USB tye-C port for charging but it is not known whether a 3.5mm jack will be present or not. IP68 rating is also a part of the bundle. The pricing and availability are still a mystery.
