Huawei is one of the OEMs that have been insistently outing tablets despite the decline in the overall public interest. Speaking of which, a budget tablet called the Mediapad C5 is in the works.
MobielKopen, a Dutch website revealed that the tablet is codenamed Monet and there are a few juicy tidbits regarding the handset. Huawei will be offering an 8-inch display with a resolution of 1200 x 1920p on this portable device. Since we’ve already said this is a budget tablet, you shouldn’t be surprised with the presence of the Snapdragon 435. The tablet will run Android Nougat, which is disappointing considering Android P is close to release.
Gizchina News of the week
The MediaPad C5 will be likely be offered in LTE, and WiFi flavours as per the source. The 8-incher is supposed to take the place of MediaPad M5 Lite 8 and hence, we expect 3GB or 4GB of RAM. This will be coupled with 64GB or 128GB of storage.
We’re not sure what are the launch plans of Huawei concerning this tablet but IFA looks like a good bet as the company has some kind of presence there. The OEM just finished unveiling the MediaPad M5 which is a premium tablet in the US.
