As per current info, the Galaxy Note 9 is two weeks ahead of schedule and set to debut on August 9. However, a new report from ETnews Korea, now suggests that the Note 9 will be accompanied by the Gear S4. The Gear S3 successor will have not only a thinner body but will also be cheaper due to the application processor made using PLP (Panel Level Packaging).
Not much is known about the Gear S4 except that it will house a bigger 470mAh battery than the 380mAh power source in its predecessor. Also, it is expected to get a new Gold colour. Besides, Samsung will likely continue its record of offering a classic model alongside a sporty model. However, whatever Samsung launches, we’re sure it will be running Tizen OS as the Korean phone maker doesn’t use Android Wear on its accessories.
Gizchina News of the week
The Gear S3 was launched in 2016 and so was the Gear S3 Frontier mode. However, last year Samsung revealed the Gear Sport last year but we’re not sure whether there will be a follow up this year.
The Gear S3 was a quite expensive costing as much as Rs. 28,500 or $420. A cut in price would be appreciated for the waning smartwatch segment.
The Galaxy Note 9 has recently leaked in CAD renders and much of the specs are also now circulating the airwaves right now. All this happens as Samsung stays mum about any upcoming release of the flagship phablet. However, August is still quite far off, so we’ll see what happens next month.
