Alleged Nokia 5.1 plus gets bluetooth certification

Nokia 5.1 plus

Less than a month after it announced the new generation Nokia 3 ,Nokia 2 and Nokia 5, reports have it that HMD plans to release yet another mid-range Android smartphone called Nokia 5.1 Plus. The device which is now being referred to as the Nokia 5.1 plus had earlier in April received 3C certification with the model number TA-1109.

The same device has now received Bluetooth certification with Bluetooth version 4.2. Listed alongside the Nokia TA-1109 are two more Nokia devices with model numbers TA-1083 and TA-1116, and are said to be the global variant of the Nokia X6 which is at present exclusive to China. Sadly, the listing doesn’t reveal a thing about either of the devices but is evident the Nokia TA-1109 will come with a MediaTek SoC.

Though we are not certain which Nokia device the TA-1109 is, recent leaks have tied the device to the Nokia 5.1 plus. Just a few days back, Steve Hemmerstoffer aka OnLeaks shared some CAD renders of the alleged Nokia 5.1, and as per the renders, the Nokia 5.1 plus will adopt not only the full-screen display with 18:9, it is also set to come with the display NOTCH much like the Nokia X6 that was unveiled in China a while back.
