Xiaomi has been quite busy this new week. Just this morning, the company released a colourful 10L backpack, Xiaomi Mi router 4Q and an emergency fire extinguishing bottle. Now, the company has announced that its new electric power-assisted bicycle, which supports multi-mode cycling has gone into crowdfunding. It sells for 1699 ($264).
The bicycle is available in two colour options which include a black/white colour mixture or black/orange colour mixture. The product is shipped by Shanghai Himo Electric Technology and it is expected that shipment will begin on July 30, 2018.

The new Xiaomi HIMO electric bicycle comes with a premium design which integrates the electronic control systems, battery modules, and chargers within its structure. The bicycle frame is forged from aluminum alloy, it is compact and lightweight as it weighs 16.7Kg. This means that even females can lift this bicycle with a single hand. The handlebars are equipped with multi-function buttons which includes three gears and one key to select. The electric power button is also located on the left handle and you can freely switch between electric mode and manual mode.
To add to its beautiful design, the internal wiring is simple and there is no exposure of multiple wires in the bicycle. The Xiaomi HIMO electric bicycle also comes with a multi-function meter on the left handle which supports IP54 waterproofing meaning that it can also be used normally when it rains. The meter displays the distance covered, the distance per hour speed and the battery level. Also, the Xiaomi HIMO electric bicycle is equipped with a High-bright LED headlamps for safe night driving and it also has large-area taillight design, driving lights and brake lights.
Xiaomi HIMO electric bicycle uses a 250W brushless DC motor and it boasts of a wear-resistant shock-absorbing tire to ensure safe driving. The battery takes about 6.5 hours for a full charge which will cover about 50 kilometers.
