Lenovo Tab4 series will receive Android 8.1 Oreo, but only in November

Lenovo has a myriad of devices to care about, but this doesn’t mean that they will leave its most affordable Tab4 series without an update. We don’t know if this will be a surprise for most of the customers or not, but the company recently announced that its most affordable tables will be updated directly to Android 8.1 Oreo, but it won’t be coming until November.

Gizchina News of the week

According to the Chinese manufacturer, its development team is fully committed to bringing the Android 8.1 release for the Lenovo Tab4 8, Lenovo Tab4 8 Plus, and Lenovo Tab4 10. Sadly, the company didn’t mention if the same treatment is being given to the Lenovo Tab4 Plus.

For the mentioned companies, Lenovo expects to start to drop the respective updates towards the end of the year, more precisely in November 2018. Currently, we can’t confirm this, but the Android 8.1 Oreo may be the last release for the Tab4 tablets. The sad part of this history is that by November 2018, Android P will be already available through Pixels and some smartphones.
