Two smartphones with model numbers – PAR-AL00/TL00 had recently attained TENAA and 3C approvals in China probably last month. These handsets are believed to be the Huawei Nova 3 variants that could launch soon in July. Huawei has already hired a new popular Chinese music band, TFboys, to publicize the handset. The company announced this on Weibo via a teaser that also showcases the rear of the Huawei Nova 3. In addition, Huawei said that they will continue their new partnership with TFBoys and “join hands in creating a beautiful era of nova planet.”
The Huawei Nova 3e is the P20 Lite in disguise. And this newly teased Huawei Nova 3 will be a better version of the P20 Lite. Already, we can see the design similarities in the teaser on the back side of the handset. There are the familiar dual cameras and the shimmery golden back that reminds us of the P20 Lite. Only, the internals will be stronger.
Gizchina News of the week
There’s nothing concrete for now, but the Nova 3 could get a completely new Kirin 710 SoC that will rival the Snapdragon 710 chipset. It would be a considerable upgrade over the highly-used Kirin 659 and would be based on the 12nm process of TSMC. Also, it would get a better 19:9 aspect ratio and as per some rumours, an on-screen fingerprint reader as well. If true the Nova 3 would be Huawei’s first device to get an on-screen biometric sensor.
As for the launch, we expect it in the coming weeks, since we now have celebrities and teasers lined up for the phone.
