Redmi Note 5 Pro users in India are in for a treat as Xiaomi has just announced a new update for the handset in India. The device will soon be upgraded to Android 8.1 Oreo with an update to MIUI v9.5. The global ROM is more precisely numbered as version 9.5.6.0.OEIMIFA. The update will start rolling out this Friday on June 29 via OTA.

Also, if you don’t get the update in the first batch that is on June 29, then you’ll probably get it some time later. The Redmi Note 5 Pro is one of the hottest budget smartphones of 2018 with an unbeatable price. It has a hugely improved array of 12MP + 5MP rear cameras from its predecessor and also a great 20MP selfie shooter.
