Two new mid-range Vivo models get TENAA approval

Two new mid-range Vivo smartphones have received TENAA approval today on their way to launch in China. The duo are pretty similar phones designated with model numbers V1803BA and V1730DT. We’re pretty sure these will be two notch-bearing phones like every other Vivo that’s launched this year (barring the Vivo Nex, of course). TENAA’s certification has revealed not only the design but also the specs of the handset.

There’s a very minute difference in dimensions and weight of both devices.
Vivo V1803BA 155.21 × 75.24 × 7.7mm Weight 152 grams
Vivo V1730DT 154.81×75.03×7.89mm Weight 149 grams

Both will house a 6.2-inch HD+ display while the processors in both are different. While the V1803BA has an octa-core 2GHz SoC, the V1730DT will pack a 1.8GHz octa-core CPU, so the latter is the low-end variant. RAM and storage on both handsets are similar that is 4GB + 64GB. As is the camera setup with a 13MP + 2MP rear setup and an 8MP front setup. Also on board is 4G LTE, VoLTE, microSD, and a 3.5mm headphone jack support.

The battery is shown to be a 3180mAh cell that will power Android 8.1 Oreo with Vivo’s own skin. There’s only one colour option for the V1803BA i.e. Gold while the V1730DT gets Champagne Gold, Rose Gold, Matte Black colour options. Currently, no release date is yet known for the two new devices.
