Veteran tipster @OnLeaks posted a bunch of alleged Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL renders and a 360º video of the two. The Pixel 3 XL retains its tall profile and full-screen display. On the other hand, the Pixel 3 seems to have received a display overhaul and to be honest, the designs are not impressive at all.
The alleged Pixel 3 has received a display that adopts the 18:9 aspect ratio (judging from the curved edges of the screen). The phone retains the stereo speakers up front. The top bezel and bottom chin are quite thick. The top bezel houses what seems like a dual camera setup along with the earpiece/speaker while the chin houses the other speaker. The back is the same as its predecessor with a single camera on the top left corner and the fingerprint scanner. A dual camera setup on the back would’ve been a better choice. According to @onleaks, the phone measures 145.6 x 68.2 x 7.9mm dimensionally and has a 5.0-inch display.
Gizchina News of the week
The alleged Google Pixel 3 XL has received a major overhaul on the front. There’s a full-screen display this time too but with a notch up top sporting a dual camera setup. The bezels on the sides are almost non-existent but the chin retains its thickness and the phone retains the stereo speakers. The back is exactly the same as before. No dual camera setup here either. The display is a 6.2-inch panel and the phone measures 158 x 76.6 x 7.9mm.
If these renders are to be believed, the new pixels are not going to be the best-looking smartphones out there. Let’s hope that is not the case.
