Its been over two months since Motorola first unveiled the E5 series in three variants â the Moto E5 Plus, Moto E5, and Moto E5 Play all of which share similar design and philosophy with the Moto G6 line. Now, there are indications the E5 series may start selling in the Indian market in no distant time, as the Moto E5 has been found listed on Amazon India.
Though listed by a reseller, the Moto E5 as seen on Amazon.in carries the Rs. 12200 price tag for the flash grey color option, and appears to be limited in stock. While Amazon India hasn’t listed the two other variants – the Moto E5 Plus or E5 Play, a separate promotional poster found somewhere in Delhi reveals the Moto E5 could be available to buy outside of Amazon India, so its possible the E5 Plus and E5 play would land in the country much later.

Announced a while back alongside the Mot G6, the Moto E5 got the look and feel of a 2018 phone, having gotten rid of those chunky bezels of old to fit in a large full-screen display. Outside of the design, the Moto E5 gets a large 4000mAh battery with a 10W fast charger which means the device can see you through a whole day of single charge.
Unlike the E5 plus with a larger display, the Moto E5 display size scales down to a 5.7â (720p+) screen â with the same 18:9 aspect ratio and is powered by the same Snapdragon 425 chipset coupled with 2GB or 3GB of RAM, and either 16GB or 32GB of internal storage depending on the region. Again, the Moto E5 battery scales down to a 4,000mAh capacity bundled with 10W brick charger and a Rapid Charge. On the flip side, there is a dial-like circular camera setup which houses a 13 MP rear camera with 1.12 ”m, f/2.0, 1080p video capture, while a single 5 MP selfie camera with LED flash sits above the display.
The device is available in other regions at 149 euros, which makes the Rs 10,990 Indian pricing perfect, but it will have to compete for fiercely with a couple of Redmi phones from Xiaom which a better deal.
