As the ones who follow Meizu really close will know, the Chinese phone maker is set to unveil a third device along with the Meizu 16 and Meizu 16 Plus, we’re talking about the Meizu X8.
The Meizu X8 will be a mid-ranger packing the latest and more than powerful enough Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 along with 6GB of RAM. Well, today we also learn that the large amount of RAM might be paired with 64GB of internal storage and a price tag of under 2000 Yuan ($300).
Gizchina News of the week
According to Meizu’s founder – Huang Zhang – public answer on Weibo “I want to start 6+128 for new products over 2,000 yuan, and 6+64 for 1500 yuan or more”. Previous to that, Huang had revealed that the X8 won’t be costing more than 2000 Yuan. So, we can easily deduce that the upcoming mid-ranger is going to be priced between 1500 and 2000 Yuan. That’s great news as 1500 Yuan equal to around $226, which would be a killer price for a Snapdragon 710 powered device – in China, at least.
Of course, that price range will only be true for the 6GB+64GB variant as the 128GB model will cost more than 2000 Yuan ($300).
The Meizu X8 along with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, 8GB RAM equipped Meizu 16 and Meizu 16 Plus are expected to launch together in the month of August.
