Gizchina News of the week
Now, according to reports swirling around, Sammy is already working on its next flip phone, and if tradition is to repeat itself, the next flip phone from Samsung will be named Samsung W2019. According to leaked insider information, the device is codenamed “Project Lykan”, and will introduce a couple of first of its kind features to the Samsung W series of clamshell phones. Recall, that the Samsung W2018 first introduced the Bixby button and the variable aperture camera which was later transmitted to the flagship S9 and S9+. Now, Chinese leaker @MMDJ_ reports that the upcoming Samsung W2019 will be the first in the series to come with dual rear cameras.
Besides coming with dual camera settings whose configuration may give us a hint at what the flagship Galaxy S10 expected in 2019 might bring to the table, the Samsung W2019 is expected to pack some flagship specs including Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 SoC with at least up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The W series of flip phones are premium phones with enormous price tags and are exclusive to China and South Korea, so the Samsung W2019 isn’t expected to be any different.
