The Asus ROG gaming phone which was launched earlier this year is all set to hit the Indian shore in the 3rd quarter of this year. Asus CEO, Jerry Shen reportedly hinted that the flagship gaming machine will be launched in India in the third quarter of 2018. The phone will be priced higher than the Asus Zenfone 5Z which was launched in India a few days ago.

While the 5Z is priced lower than the OnePlus 6, the ROG smartphone will be priced way higher at approximately Rs. 50,000 ($727). The ROG phone has a massive 6-inch AMOLED display with a 2160 x 1080p resolution and an 18:9 aspect ratio. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset clocked at 2.9GHz coupled with 8GB RAM and 512GB of onboard storage. There’s a combo of 12MP and 5MP snappers on the back while the front is adorned by an 8MP snapper. The phone is powered by a 4,000mAh battery with support for QuickCharge 4.0. It comes with a feature called HyperCharge which protects the phone from overheating during charging. It comes with a myriad of features centred at gaming. You can check them all out here.
The phone joins the league of Xiaomi’s Blackshark and Nubia’s Red gaming smartphones.
