The Smartisan Nut R1 series was released back on May 15th and it is the company’s flagship for 2018. The Nut R1 was officially announced in two variants: Carbon Black and Pure White, but the latter has never seen the light of day until now.
On July 6th at 10AM, the Pure White variant finally sold over on Chinese e-store Jingdong but that didn’t last long, quickly running out of units. At that point some online users were wondering when they could actually gets their hands on one themselves; the company responded that next week will be it. They will hopefully have enough units to supply the demand.
Prior to the news, the company’s CEO – Wu Dezhou – revealed that the pure white version was more difficult to produce but that production capacity had been greatly improved, and thus will soon be available for sale.
