Samsung Galaxy S10 Variant Reported to Come with Triple Cameras

While speculations surrounding the Galaxy X are running wild, another report hints at a variant of the Samsung Galaxy S10 that will sport a triple camera setup. As reported by German Website AllAboutSamsung, there will be three variants of the Galaxy S10, with two of them featuring dual cameras while the top tier model featuring a triple camera setup. The monikers of two of them are expected to be Samsung Galaxy S10 (Beyond 1) and Galaxy S10+ (Beyond 2). And if I am to speculate the 3rd will probably be Galaxy S10 Lite.

Apparently, the triple camera setup would be comprised of a 12 MP f/1.5 to f/2.4 variable aperture (a feature native to the S9 series), a 16MP super wide-angle lens and a 13 MP f/2.4 zoom lens. Even the placement of the lens has been reported. The main lens will sit in the middle flanked by the super wide angle on the right and the zoom lens on the left. The other two variants will sport a dual camera setup comprising of a 12MP snapper with variable aperture and a 16MP f/1.9 snapper.

Another website, TheBell, reports that two of the premium models out of the three will sport an in-display fingerprint scanner while the third model will have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. These are extremely wild speculations that have no proof of authenticity. The images provided are also quite sketchy and look photoshopped. Primarily because I feel Samsung would not make the mistake of putting the fingerprint scanner beside the cameras. Rookie mistake that Samsung rectified on their Galaxy S9 devices. There have been rumours that one of the three phones, the Galaxy X will be a foldable device. Samsung is expected to start mass production of the same in the 2nd half of this year. These again are speculations, so I suggest you take them with a pinch of salt.
