Qualcomm’s chips have been developed for small-size devices mainly. Moreover, this also means they were configured for Android OS. The conversations about the first Snapdragon-powered laptops began buzzing in the net in early 2017. Microsoft has promised there will be several laptops equipped with an ARM-based processor. Asus, HP, and Lenovo were expected to be the first manufacturer to bring the mentioned chips to the notebooks market. Today, the Lenovo US officially announced the Lenovo Miix 630 ACPC, priced at $899.99.

Actually, this is not the first ACPC. The HP ENVY x2 released recently. Moreover, both models are priced identically. But as this is a quite young niche, both ACPCs will benefit a lot.

At the end of last year, at WinHEC event in Shenzhen, China, Microsoft announced the company is working with Qualcomm and they will bring the full Win10 experience to future devices powered by Snapdragon chipsets. Now we can write down Windows 10 is brought to the ARM ecosystem. Those devices adopt so-called eSIM technology that means users will remain continually connected.

As for the Lenovo Miix 630, it was officially unveiled at CES 2018. We knew the laptop is packed with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chip and provides a long battery life as well as Gigabit 4G LTE connectivity. Apart from this, it comes with a 12.3-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 1920×1080 and a maximum brightness of 400 nits. The lowest version sports a 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB YFS2.1 flash storage. There are a 5MP front camera as well as a 13MP rear camera with infrared Windows Hello authentication lens

In addition, the machine is equipped with a 1024-level pressure sensitive stylus and two 1W power speakers. It runs on pre-installed Windows 10 S operating system but users can upgrade to Windows 1 Professional for free within 18 months.

As for interfaces, the Lenovo Miix 630 sports a Nano SIM card slot, a Type-C interface, supporting charging and video output functions, a MicroSD card slot, and a headset jack. It weighs 1.33kg with a keyboard, while the body only comes at a 770g weight.
