It’s no news that the Apple iPhone X let go of the fingerprint scanner on their iPhone X and replaced it with the Face ID. While I’m not a big fan of the feature itself, Apple makes some really cool ads for it. The latest ad is no different. Face ID is something that has not caught on as much as the fingerprint scanner did. Even if OEM’s are adopting the feature, it’s still coupled with fingerprint scanners. There are a few phone makers like Xiaomi, Vivo and Oppo who have used facial recognition as their primary mode of security in some of their phones. But there is a huge difference in the way that it has been implemented in the iPhone X and other phones. While iPhone X’s Face ID might not be the best method of security out there, it is still undoubtedly the best facial recognition tech available.
