The Huawei Talkband B5, as well as the Nova 3, will both go official on Jul8 18, as we earlier reported, but by then, the only new piece of info we would be waiting to see is the pricing info, as basically all specs of both devices have been listed on Chinese e-commerce websites. Ahead of the July 18 unveiling, two popular Chinese e-commerce websites; Jd.com and Vmall.com have both listed the Huawei Talkband B5 for pre-order alongside the device’s full specs and press renders.
Gizchina News of the week
The listing confirms the TalkBand B5 will hit the stores in two versions: the Sports Edition with user replaceable strap in Ash, Black and Brown color, and Business Edition with metal strap and leather straps which are also replaceable. The designs remain virtually the same, save for a few changes, and as expected, the Talkband B5 much like the band 3 doubles as a Bluetooth headset.
Measuring 58.2mm × 23.3mm × 12.9mm, the TalkBand B5 has a water and dust resistant body fitted with a 1.13-inch AMOLED touchscreen display with 300 x 160 pixels resolution and 2.5D curved glass on the top. It is based on the RTOS and compatible with both Android and iOS smartphones with Bluetooth version 4.2, while it boosts of up to 3days of usage or 6 hours of talk time, thanks to 108mAh battery.
Aside from the usual fitness-tracking functions, the Huawei TalkBand B5 can analyze your heart rate variability, accesses your stress status while also offering round the clock heart rate monitoring, and sleep tracking using the inbuild Huawei TruRelax Technology. As for calling functions, the Talkband B5 has caller ID support, a built-in triple-core audio chip and dual mics for HD voice calls, as well as call muting and speed dial options.
