Information about Samsung’s upcoming flagship phablet – the Galaxy Note 9 has been making the rounds for a couple of months now. While most of these have been mere speculations and not too detailed leaks, only once have we had hands-on info of the device coupled with some recently leaked official renders of the device.
The Samsung phone with model number SM-N9600 a while back cleared the FCC, and now we have the same device clearing TENAA which is China’s equivalent of the FCC. Specs, as well as the usual front, back and sides profile images of the device, are yet to be uploaded, but it does reveal the device will come with support for TD-LTE, FD/TD-SCDMA/WCDMA/cdma2000/ CDMA 1X/GSM networks.

In terms of design, we aren’t expecting any major upgrade from that of the Galaxy Note 8, however, there are reports that the accompanying S Pen will get slightly overhauled, as it will be getting Bluetooth support.
We also now know the device won’t get the under-display fingerprint sensor treatment, instead, Samsung will likely also move the fingerprint reader to a more ergonomic position beneath the dual camera. Rumour has it that Samsung might use the new ISOCELL Plus tech for the cameras that debuted at the Shanghai MWC some days back.
As for the launch date, the device will be unveiled at the Galaxy unpacked event holding on August 9 in the NYC, and a recent report from Korea suggests the device will be hitting the retail shops on August 24th.
