Huawei hasn’t launched the Nova series of phones in India ever but a new report suggests that not only the Nova 3 but also the Nova 3i is coming to India on July 26. The report comes from Indian Express which cites sources close to the matter. The Nova 3 is the latest update in the series and is already listed on Vmall with its entire spec-sheet. Its actual launch is on July 18, that is when we’ll know the price. While the Nova 3i is a stranger and much of its specifications are not known, we expect it to be a close relative of the Nova 3.
Gizchina News of the week
The Nova 3 is a full-blown flagship featuring the Kirin 970 chipset. This came as a surprise as we expected a somewhat lower-powered handset. It also features a strong array of quad cameras. The ones on the front are a 24MP + 2MP combo and the ones on the rear are 16MP +24MP sensors. It also comes ready with GPU Turbo and has a relatively big 3750mAh battery.
Since this is a flagship-grade launch event we’re talking about, it doesn’t make sense that Huawei would do so without invites to the media. So, maybe we could see invites in the coming week. However, launching a Nova 3 seems redundant at the moment especially when Huawei just launched the Honor 10 with similar specs in India. We’ll see what happens in the next few days and if there is any official info, that will soon appear and clear things out.
