Announced very recently, the Oppo Find X marks Oppo first entry into the European market. The company at the launch event which held in Paris did confirm the device will get a kind of Global release starting with Italy, Spain, France, and the Netherlands.
Although the firm already ruled out the likelihood of bringing the device to its fans in the US, a new report reaching us suggests the Find X alongside a couple of other Oppo phones could soon land in the UK.
Oppo’s spokesperson in a series of inquiries channeled to Him confirmed a report which appeared on Letsgodigital earlier today suggesting that the firm had registered a total of 40 mobile phones in the UK. While reacting to a TechRadar query on whether Oppo phones would arrive in the UK, the spokesperson’s response was quite an affirmative, saying “that’s correct, however, we don’t have any information or timescale to share on the UK at this moment.”
Gizchina News of the week
Oppo though not a Global brand makes some really nice devices, but with a presence only limited to China, India, the Philippines and a few other Asian countries. The Find X is its first major attempt at breaking out of its limited market. The Find X is unarguably one of the most ambitious and interesting mobile phones so far released in 2018.
Much like the VIVO NEX, the Find X claim to fame is in the camera department. Unlike most other phones with a display notch housing the front-facing camera, the Find X adopts a mechanical pop-up camera behind the display, leaving the screen free of any cutouts for the selfie camera and facial-recognition sensors.
The device, though already available in China and India, should hit the European markets later in August at about €999/$1,159.
