We have seen a series of leaks of the upcoming Meizu 16 plus. The firm had announced recently that the Meizu 16 series comprising the Meizu 16, the Meizu 16 plus and possibly the 16 lite would be unleashed later in August, and now, an alleged front panel of the plus size Meizu 16 has now surfaced on the web showing its near bezel-free body.
What we can see from the images below design-wise is a phone with thin bezels on the top and bottom, but with virtually none on either side. The glass panel is said to be sourced from a component factory in China and comparing it with the ambitious Oppo Find X, the 16 plus panel appears to be a bit taller and wider than that of the Find X.
Gizchina News of the week
The Weibo source claims the Meizu 16 plus will likely have a 6.5″ OLED panel with slim top bezel with three slots for the selfie camera, LED light and a proximity sensor.
The Plus sized Meizu 16, much like the base Meizu 16 will feature an under-display fingerprint sensor which has only featured in a few smartphones including the Vivo X21, Vivo Nex, Mi 8 Explorer Edition and the Oppo Find X. There are talks also that the Meizu 16 and 16 plus will both feature a vapor chamber for cooling and a pressure sensitive mBack button, while the Meizu 16 Lite will be devoid of these to keep the price at the barest minimum.
Looks like the Xiaomi Redmi 5 series.
Nothing wrong with that. I prefer some bezel at the top and bottom than the non-sense bezel-less displays and motorized parts.
I didn’t say I didn’t like the looks. I like it a lot in fact, especially the fact that the front bezels are the same colour as the back rather than black.
