While Xiaomi is largely expected to release the Mi A2 on July 24 at a global launch event, there has been no official confirmation about it. The company just released an official teaser for the Mi A2 today, it’s first, that confirms the launch is coming soon. The now public Chinese brand took to Twitter to announce that the next-gen Android One is coming, which is another way to say the Mi A2 is coming soon. While the teaser has not revealed any launch date, it is pretty much almost confirmed that it will be in Spain on July 24.
Lately, we have also sniffed the presence of a new Android One device that will probably launch at the same event. Two new listings found on a Polish e-commerce website had revealed a new Mi A2 Lite version. The other listing was for the Mi A2 itself. This leak also lead us to a knowledge of the complete specifications of the Mi A2 Lite. The under question Mi A2 lite will embody the Redmi 6 Pro internally and externally as well. There might be a few subtle changes but the rest is basically the same handset.

For more info on the Mi A2 Lite, we have a dedicated piece here. And as for the Mi A2, we have seen detailed leaks of the phone. This teaser doesn’t say whether Xiaomi would launch two phones or just one Android One handset. But, it is likely that there will be two. The Mi A2 is the MI 6X with vanilla Android and it comes with a host of improvements over its predecessor.
The handset has 5.99-inches of Full-HD+ display, Snapdragon 660, 4GB of RAM (at least), and a set of upgraded cameras (12MP + 20MP) and a 20MP rear camera. This is a major improvement across the board and we’re likely to see great prices as well making the Mi A2 an irresistible device.
