Maybe there are many customers that are not familiar with ASUS’ ZenFone series smartphones. But for the Taiwanese market, this line has the same popularity as Xiaomi in China. We know Xiaomi is going to launch its largest screen handset in face of the Mi Max 3, which also comes with a monster-size battery of 5500mAh. So it’s reasonable ASUS should prepare something identical for the native market. Yesterday, e-price announced that ASUS had officially confirmed the ASUS ZenFone Max Pro will release on July 24. The manufacturer has already sent out the invitations to the Taiwanese media.
Gizchina News of the week
According to the previous information, the ASUS ZenFone Max Pro will be equipped with a Snapdragon 636 SoC, a 6-inch display, and a battery capacity of 5000mAh. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo. There is also an 8MP camera in the front and a rear dual-camera, the main camera of which has a resolution of 16MP. The phone will be launched in two variants. The low version comes with a 3GB+32GB memory combination and no NFC support, while the higher version supports NFC and has a storage space of 64GB and a memory of 6GB.
However, this is not a newbie. The ASUS ZenFone Max Pro has already landed in the Indian market in April this year. So this should be taken as an official release in the domestic market. It’s expected to go on sale on July 27. The source claims it will cost NT$6,990 (approximately $228) and NT$8990 (approximately $293) for the low and high variants, respectively.
