Honor, a sub-brand of Huawei has released invitations for an August 30 product launch in Berlin, Germany, effectively giving us the impression that it might unveil the Honor Note 10 at the event. The event is said to be part of its IFA 2018 press briefing, so it is likely the company have more than one product line up for announcements.
The presumed Honor Note 10 has been long rumored, and the August 30th date falls within the time frame peddled by mongers. Some alleged live images of the device surfaced a few days back, wherein the Honor Note 10 was compared to a Nintendo Switch for scale. It is expected to house the same display size as the recently unveiled Mid-range Mi Max 3 from Xiaomi – a 6.9″ display with no physical button and all round slim bezels. There are presently no reliable leaked images showing the rear side, however, there are indications the device will come fitted with a fingerprint sensor as well as 24-megapixel + 16-megapixel dual cameras on that side.
Gizchina News of the week
As compared to the Nintendo Switch’s 6.2-inch display the Note 10’s display, although smaller, offers way more screen real estate thanks to the thin bezels. The Switch measures about 238.7 x 101.6 x 14mm. The Honor Note 10 will have similar height but the width and depth will be far less.
Based on Geekbench revelation, the Honor Note 10 is tipped to come with Kirin 970, 6 GB RAM, and Android 8.1 based on EMUI. A 24MP camera is expected to serve for selfies, while a 6000mAh battery has also been rumored to be part of the package.
Whatever the Huawei sub-brand announce on the said date, we would be on the ground to bringing you more updates, so check back with us in the next few weeks as we approach the announcements.
