Nokia 3.1 lands in India

The Nokia 3.1 – the 2018 refresh of HMD Global’s Nokia 3 which was announced back in May in Russia alongside Nokia 2.1 and the Nokia 5.1, and which has already made it to a few global markets is now available to buy in India.

Starting from July 21, the Nokia 3.1 will be available for purchase from online retail stores,  Nokia website as well as Paytm mall online and is priced at Rs. 10,499/$153.

Much like the Nokia 7 plus, the Nokia 3.1adopts an 18:9 form factor and is carved entirely out of a polycarbonate back and aluminum sides with a dual diamond cut design. The device flaunts a 5.2-inch HD display with a 1.5GHz MediaTek octa-core processor coupled with 2GB of ram under the hood, and 16GB of storage which can be expanded up to 128GB using microSD card. It uses a13-megapixels rear cam with an 8-megapixel wide-angle front-facing camera for selfies.

The highlight of the device is probably its OS. The device much like other recent devices from HMD is an Android One smartphone, and that means guaranteed security updates for a period of 3 years.

Launch offer includes;

  • 10% cashback on recharges and bill payments on Paytm for those buying the smartphone from a retail store by scanning the Paytm Mall QR Code
  • Two ₹250 movie cashback vouchers that can be redeemed against booking minimum two movie tickets via Paytm
  • 5% cashback on purchasing using ICICI Debit and Credit Card
  • For Idea and Vodafone customers: 1 GB data per day, unlimited calls and 100 free SMS per day for 28 days at ₹149. For ₹595, customers will get 100 free SMS per day, unlimited voice calls and 18 GB data for 6 months. Moreover, customers upgrading from a 2G/3G phone to Nokia 3.1 will get 1 GB data per day for 28 days.
