It’s official. The Meizu 16 series is coming on the 8th of August. The Chinese phone-maker has officially released the first poster of their upcoming flagship. The Meizu X8 might also be unveiled at the event.
The launch poster depicts what we already know about the Meizu 16. A notch-less full-screen display with barely any bezels, similar to Samsung’s Galaxy S9. It’ll be powered by the Snapdragon 845 chipset coupled with a minimum of 6GB RAM and have a re-designed mBack button. An in-display fingerprint scanner and wireless charging are also in tow. Gizchina News of the week
The phone is expected to launch alongside the Meizu 16 Plus and the Meizu X8, latter of which will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710. Recently, Jack Wong teased the pricing of the upcoming flagship and claimed that it will perform better than the Mi8 and will be priced lower than the Xiaomi flagship. He said that the phone would not exceed the price tag of 4000 Yuan ($588). The Meizu X8 will be the least expensive of the three and supposedly have a notch on top as we reported earlier. All three of them will have a virtual mBack button.
