Samsung Galaxy Watch passes by FCC


The Samsung Galaxy Watch has passed by FCC confirming its imminent launch. Thanks to the certification, we have a schematic of the watch back and a few other details to look at.

The SM-R810 variant of the watch has been certified. There are three other variants, SM-R800, SM-R805, and RM-815 that are yet to make an appearance on the FCCThe Galaxy Watch screen measures 30.2, about 1.19-inch. The watch has body dimensions of 51.2 x 43.4mm. The FCC listing confirms that the watch will come with WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth. The watch was tested for LTE so the presence of 4G is confirmed. The supplied charger operates at 700mA and the watch is expected to sport a battery of around 500mAh capacity.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch is expected to launch alongside the Note 9 on August 9 with pre-orders starting 14th August and sales starting 24th August. A few other devices are also expected to be launched at that time like the Bixby powered smart speaker, Galaxy Tab S4 and the Galaxy tab A.
