Sony has scheduled a press conference for August 30 in Berlin, Germany. At the event, it is expected to unveil a new flagship product, which many think could be the Xperia XZ3 and XZ3 compact. However, ahead of that, the Japanese firm has another product it will launch in some days from today, not for a Global audience, but for its India Fans.
The company has released a Weibo post with an invitation announcing a new product launch for August 1 in India. While details of the expected product are scares at the moment, there are speculations the firm might use the event as the launch pad for the Xperia XZ2 in India.

The device is the follow up to the Sony Xperia XZ1 which was announced at the 2017 IFA in Berlin, Germany. The Xperia XZ2 ditches the boxy old design for a premium looking design with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 design.
The device prides itself as the world’s first 4K HDR video camera on a smartphone, and sports 3D scanning capabilities, allowing you to create and share three-dimensional headshots. It comes fitted with a 19-megapixel sensor capable of 4K video recording, HDR color with ultra slo-mo mode capable of 960fps footage at a higher 1080p resolution. Powering the Xperia XZ2 is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage.
Available in Liquid Black, Liquid Silver, Deep Green and Ash Pink colors, the device is presently priced at $799 in the U.S. and £649 in the UK, and that should give us a basic idea of what its Indian pricing could be.
