Oppo F9 Receives Bluetooth Certification, Pro Version in Tow

The Oppo F9 is the apparent successor to the F7. The Oppo F7 went official this year in March. It has hardly been a while and looks like Oppo is gearing up for the launch of its successor. A teaser from Oppo hints at the same. Apparently, an August launch is a possibility.

From the teaser, we can conclude that the F9 will sport dual cameras on the back. There is no sign of a fingerprint scanner on the back. Also, judging from Oppo’s current phones, the F9 will probably feature a notched display and lack a fingerprint scanner in the front. This hints towards the possibility of face unlock as the primary mode of security. The F-series has mostly been selfie centred and we do not expect Oppo to deviate from the same.

Gizchina News of the week

The Oppo F9 has received Bluetooth certification earlier this month. The certification listing also reveals that the F9 will be accompanied by a Pro variant, probably with beefier specifications as is the usual case. No other details have been revealed yet but we expect to find out more about the upcoming selfie-centric Oppo phone in the coming weeks. Since Oppo is out gathering certifications, the launch is imminent.
