Samsung Dropping the Galaxy X Moniker?

The Samsung Galaxy X is rumoured to be the Korean giant’s first fold-able smartphone. But known tipster “MMDDJ_” took to Twitter and claimed that Samsung will not be using the Galaxy X moniker for their foldable phone. While the might change, there are enough reports to prove that the foldable phone is in works.

Samsung’s foldable design patent was recently published hinting at a foldable phone in the pipeline. The handset is expected to be a limited edition phone priced at a hefty price. It will probably be priced more than any of the upcoming Galaxy S10 smartphones. It is suggested that the phone will be aimed towards a niche category of consumers, from gamers to limited edition phone enthusiasts.

The phone is expected to be unveiled in early 2019 at the CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2019. The Galaxy S10 series, on the other hand, might see the light of day at MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2019. This is a mere speculation so I suggest you take this report with a pinch of salt.
